The South Pennines National Area is a land of ancient, wild uplands, and the heart of the Industrial Revolution. Aireborough is on the northern tip of this landscape that gave rise to great social developments such as the Co-operative  movement, building societies and Methodism.

Mark Turner from Pennine Prospects will reveal how the South Pennines legacy is  regenerating for the 21 century and how we can be part of that and some of the innovative schemes that are being supported for reviving the economy and conserving the ecology
