The Final Countdown – Site Allocation Consultation Closes 5pm 29th July 2013

countdownThe ANF Questionnaire on Site Allocations is now being analysed for an overall, and statistically representative view of what people in Aireborough think –  the view is quite unequivocal !!  From this, or vision and the  urban design workshop, we are  preparing an overall response back to Leeds on Housing, Employment, Retail and Green Space sites.

However, Aireborough  also needs individuals to present evidence based, considered views directly back to the Leeds Forward Planning, on their  site allocations issues and options.   This can be done in three ways: –

1. The online consultation form is here

2.  You can email a written response to ldf@leeds.gov.uk – name and address must be included

3. Or there is time to write to  Forward Planning & Implementation, Leeds City Council, 2 Rossington Street, Leeds LS2 8HD

Documents on the site allocations can be found here.

The National Planning Policy Framework which gives national planning policies which should be adhered to for sustainability  is here.

And the key criteria for Greenbelt are: –

FIVE MAIN GREENBELT CRITERIA:

to check the unrestricted sprawl of large built-up areas;

to prevent neighbouring towns from merging into one another;

to assist in safeguarding the countryside from encroachment;

to preserve the setting and special character of historic towns;

to assist in urban regeneration, by encouraging the recycling of derelict and other urban land.
