We recently attended a workshop, along with other Neighbourhood Planning and Community Groups to help Leeds City Council update their Statement of Community Involvement, which has not been updated since 2007.
To help the Council format a revised policy they are currently running a consultation to get people’s views and experiences of being involved in planning – be that consultation on planning applications, input to Local Plans, or involvement in Neighbourhood Planning. They have asked us if we can encourage people to take part – which we are very happy to do. Planning is important for us all in shaping the place we live, and planning policy encourages Local Authorities and developers to involve local communities. If that can be improved, so much the better.

The consultation runs until Monday 2 December 2019 (5pm), and you will find the consultation here. It is in the format of questionnaire which can be filled in electronically, or downloaded and done in pen and returned.
