We would like local residents to comment and check some information provided to the Site Allocation Hearing Inspectors. This applies to Guiseley and Nether Yeadon, on the following potential housing development sites:
Ings Lane
Coach Road
Gill Lane, Nether Yeadon
The information on Ings Lane is a Statement of Common Ground signed by Gallagher Estates and Leeds City Council. This gives agreement on transport, accessibility and flooding issues in order for development to be sustainable. We’d like to give local residents the opportunity to comment on this – especially on the issues of transport, and connectivity. A comment on the ability to reach national cycle route 66 from Guiseley and Nether Yeadon would be helpful. The document for comment is here.
The second document is a Statement of Common Ground between Historic England and Leeds city Council on Coach Road, Guiseley and Gill Lane, Nether Yeadon. This indicates that Historic England think the sites are unsound with regards development and indicate what are called mitigation measures on Gill Lane: Leeds City Council do not agree and think the development sites are sound. The document for comment is here.
We need comments with evidence in urgently to aireboroughnp@gmail.com, as we are currently in the process of the SAP hearings with the Inspector.
