Further to our previous post where we detailed changes to Aireborough’s Site Allocations Plan (SAP) we have been informed by the Leeds City Council (LCC) that during the course of the next 6 weeks, spanning the period 13th February to 27th March, there will be a consultation on the pre-submission changes made to the SAP. It is stressed that we may only make comment on the changes made to a site allocation. For example, if a site has had its highways traffic access changed from one location to another then a comment can be made on that, but nothing else. However, if a new site has been introduced, as in the case of The Old Mill, Miry Lane, Yeadon (HG2-229), then the full consultation process may take place and comment can be made on any aspect relative to that site.
Full details on how to make a comment and access to all of the relevant documents can be found by clicking here. In addition, the LCC published a Local Plan Newsletter that summarised the progress to date and this can be accessed here.
After 27th March the amended SAP will be submitted for examination and all comments made on the pre-submission changes listed, together with all previous representations made at earlier consultations. It is currently anticipated by LCC that the SAP will be submitted for examination at the end of April 2017. Following this, the Secretary of State will appoint a Planning Inspector, who will be responsible for the Examination process, including setting an overall timetable, which will include Hearing dates for the examination in public.
