Revised Planning Application – Greencroft Works Kirk Lane Yeadon

Leeds City Council has advised that a revised planning application has been submitted regarding the Greencroft Works site in Yeadon.  The original application (16/03978/FU) requested the demolition of the industrial units and the quirky 1930s bungalow.  However, following objections to the scheme and comments from planners the revised application now calls for the retention of the bungalow.  As to the industrial units a survey was conducted by Mason Clark Structural Engineer and most were declared as being unsalvageable.  Nevertheless, it is proposed to retain the existing units 5, 6 and 7 and include them in the new scheme.  In addition, some of the 9 proposed new dwellings have been redesigned to provide undercroft parking thereby reducing car parking in front of housing.  The revised application can be viewed here and it should be noted that anyone wishing to make a comment on this revision should do so before 29 November 2016.
