CONSULTATION ON PROPOSED ALDI AT HOMEBASE SITE YEADON

aldi-logoAfter abandoning their plans for building a store at White Cross Guiseley Aldi have now got their sights on the Homebase store in Yeadon.

They intend to demolish  the existing Homebase building  and replace it with a brand new, custom built discount foodstore which they say will complement the existing streetscape of Yeadon Conservation Area. As well as environmental improvements, Aldi intend to recruit 40 full and part time staff from the local community.

They are preparing a planning application which will be submitted in the next few months, taking into account, where possible, the views of the local community through community consultation.      A public exhibition is to be held for residents to find out more and help shape the scheme. The exhibition is being held at: New Life Community Church Hall, Haw Lane,
Yeadon on Wednesday 19th November 2014, between 3pm and 7pm.

More information can be found in their leaflet 0407 SDAR Yeadon Leaflet 05112014
